MEET ROCKY

Rocky Damiano is a driven, family man with deep Iowa roots and a lifetime of hard work and community dedication. Raised in Marion, Iowa, Rocky grew up embracing the values of faith, family, and service. A graduate of Marion High School, he was active in wrestling and track. He played football a little but not enough to justify it as a sport he played. Sports taught him discipline and teamwork from a young age.

After high school, Rocky served honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 1992 to 1996, an experience that shaped his strong sense of duty and leadership. Following his military service, Rocky worked in a variety of industries including construction, the automotive industry and the food industry while owning and operating a restaurant.

His passion for agriculture and helping families led him to start a career with Farm Bureau Financial Services in Iowa then moving to Minnesota to become a manager for Farm Bureau. Later returning back to Iowa to resume a roll once again as an agent with Farm Bureau. In 2022, Rocky took on a new adventure by opening Nimrod Meat Locker, a local business that connects him even more closely with his community.

Rocky also served on the local Planning and Zoning Commission, contributing his practical experience to thoughtful community development.

Rocky’s life has been shaped by a commitment to hard work, family values, and service to others. Now, he’s ready to bring that same dedication to public service for the people of our community.
